The Social Media Terms of Use apply to social media accounts operated by Athene Holding Ltd.  and its subsidiaries (collectively Athene, we, us, or our). All Athene social media accounts are made available through external third-party social media platforms/applications/websites (“Platforms”) not affiliated with Athene. The views expressed on such Platforms do not necessarily represent the views of Athene.

Please note that Athene is not responsible for the service provided by each Platform, and before you access and/or use our social media accounts, you should review the terms of service and privacy information for each Platform. By accessing and using our accounts, you are agreeing to the terms of service for such Platforms and these Terms of Use.

These Terms of Use will also apply to other electronic communications, including, but not limited to any chat function, messenger, and/or email. Athene’s authorized representatives may use these media to communicate and/or follow up to inquiries or comments.

Content Rights
All information and content including images, videos, graphics, designs, and text published on Athene social media accounts is solely owned or licensed by Athene and is protected worldwide by applicable intellectual property laws. As such, you may not print, copy, download or otherwise take possession of content on our social media accounts for any purpose. You may share our content, but alteration is not permitted. 

Apart from your personal information, Athene may use or further modify content that you publicly provided on our social media account, unless you have reserved such right. We may share such information to others, including individuals outside of Athene (e.g., regulators, law enforcement agencies, third-parties) and in any media now known or later developed. We will only do so as allowed by law.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights to the content you post on Athene’s accounts, and that posting such content does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights. You hereby grant to us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free worldwide license to host and display all such content on our accounts.

Acceptable Use and Guidelines
Athene requests you please be respectful of others. The purpose of our accounts is to share useful information and ideas, inspire informative discussions, and educate. Athene looks for you to provide positive contributions to our online discussions and forums. Your opinion is welcome, but please keep it on topic and informative.

By interacting with Athene social media accounts, you agree to the following:

You will not post materials on our social media accounts that are confidential, proprietary, false, fraudulent, libelous, defamatory, obscene, misleading, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, infringing on intellectual property rights, abusive, harassing, illegal, or otherwise objectionable.

You will not post content that is promotional in nature or focused on selling a product or service, including any content attempting to influence polls, rankings or web traffic.

You will not post content containing phishing, scams or other irrelevant content, including spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or a virus, or any other component that may damage another’s hardware.

You may not request or provide specific investment recommendations, advice or testimonials. Athene reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to remove or block any content which violates these Terms of Use, or applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Further, Athene may terminate or otherwise restrict your access to our accounts for any violation of the Terms of Use.

Links to third-party websites and content are intended for informational purposes only. Athene believes that our links to publicly accessible websites are legally permissible and consistent with the common, customary expectations of those who make use of the Internet.  We are not responsible for any third-party ads or other content, products, advice, opinions, recommendations of, or other material that any third party may place on Social Media Platforms or other websites. We have not necessarily reviewed all the content, products or services on those other websites and are not responsible for and make no representations or warranties as to the content, products, or services of those or any other websites. We may, for your convenience, provide hyperlinks to third party social media accounts and websites, but this should not be viewed as an approval or endorsement of such accounts or websites or the content, products or services offered therein. When accessing third-party websites, you do so at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of those websites
