Believe in your co-workers
Believe in your co-workers is an all-encompassing value about how employees treat each other day in and day out. As we go about our day-to-day work, we assume the best in people and trust good intentions. We share knowledge and encourage others to share in order for everyone to be successful. Together we seek to understand what worked well and what didn’t. Finally, we have fun and recognize accomplishments along the way.
We want to encourage Athene employees to actively engage with people on their teams and throughout the company, whether to better understand company priorities or a new project, tap into someone’s experience or clarify roles and responsibilities. Seeking to understand and sharing ideas not only help with the workload, these actions also help build a community feeling across the organization.

Act like owners
Being an owner is more about what employees do, not about position or title. Employees who act like owners are passionate and show excitement about the business, our stakeholders and our work.
