Athene believes all students deserve an education and recognizes the importance of investing in our future leaders.
Athene's educational initiatives include programs varying from early education to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education, thus the formation of the Game Changer Scholars program.
Game Changer Scholars Program
The Game Changer Scholars program is committed to help ensure all students have the option to pursue their most important life goals. The program is one way Athene supports education initiatives that benefit students who live in Iowa.
The program is sponsored by the Athene Charitable Foundation and administered by Scholarship America.
2022 Game Changer Scholars recipients
Forty Iowa high school students were named to the second annual class of Athene USA Game Changer Scholars. In its second year, the program doubled honoring students from towns and cities across Iowa to represent the next generation of individuals who will help drive change in our communities. Of the 40 individuals recognized, 13 students were second year recipients receiving renewal awards. Students were selected based on a variety of standards including academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, and career and educational goals.
2021 Game Changer Scholars recipients
Twenty Iowa high school students were named to the inaugural class of Athene USA Game Changer Scholars. Students were selected based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives.
