Athene Earns 2021 Military Friendly® and Military Friendly® Spouse Employer Designations

Athene Holding Ltd. through its U.S. insurance subsidiary, Athene USA, has earned both the 2021 Military Friendly® and Military Friendly® Spouse Employer designations, representing the top tier of institutions who provide the best opportunities for military service members and spouses. Athene USA is a leading provider of retirement savings products.

In addition to its efforts around hiring veterans, Athene encourages its employees to actively engage with the veteran community in several ways. Athene’s employee resource group (ERG), the Athene Military Veterans Organization (AMVO), coordinates volunteer events, donation drives, and speakers to build awareness and engagement for veterans’ affairs. 

The Military Friendly® Employers list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources for thousands of federal contractors nationwide, the input of military employees, and responses to the proprietary, data driven Military Friendly® Employers survey from participating companies. The survey questions, methodology, criteria and weightings were developed with the assistance of an independent research firm and an advisory council of educators and employers. Data calculations and tabulations were independently evaluated for completeness and accuracy by Ernst & Young.
