Important Information for Missouri Policyholders

On January 5, 2016, the Missouri Department of Insurance issued Bulletin 16-01, Suspension Assistance to Missouri Residents Impacted by Flooding, for 61 counties affected by recent flooding. Counties covered by the bulletin include:

Audrain, Barry, Barton, Bollinger, Boone, Butler, Callaway, Camden, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Cedar, Christian, Clark, Cole, Cooper, Crawford, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Dunklin, Franklin, Gasconade, Greene, Hickory, Howard, Howell, Iron, Jasper, Jefferson, Laclede, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Madison, Maries, Marion, McDonald, Miller, Mississippi, Moniteau, Montgomery, Morgan, New Madrid, Newton, Oregon, Osage, Ozark, Pemiscot, Perry, Phelps, Pike, Polk, Pulaski, Ralls, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, St. Charles, St. Clair, St. Francois, St. Louis, Ste. Genevieve, Stoddard, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Webster, Wright counties and the independent City of St. Louis.

  • If you live in one of the counties included in the bulletin and received a cancellation or non-renewal notice on or after January 5, 2016, we will reinstate the policy with no lapse in coverage. We will refrain from issuing these notices to affected policyholders until March 5, 2016, or later if warranted by individual circumstances.
  • We will grant extensions to affected policyholders who need additional time to submit claims, pay premiums or take other actions necessary to maintain their coverage.
